At the end of golden September, we ushered in a special day—International Translation Day. On this occasion celebrated globally by the translation community, Tangneng Translation paid tribute to every hardworking translator with a unique event. The 6th 930 "Tangneng Translation Festival" kicked off on the afternoon of September 30.
Each year, FIT (International Federation of Translators) sets a different theme for International Translation Day. The theme for 2024 is "Translation, an art worth protecting," which emphasizes the originality and innovation of translation works and calls on society to value and protect this craft.
To commemorate St. Jerome and celebrate International Translation Day, Tangneng Translation has designated September 30th as the "Tangneng Translation Festival" since 2019. The selection of "Tangneng Top Translators" aims to honor outstanding translators and raise public awareness of translation work and professionals.
Following past traditions, this year’s festival recognized translators’ outstanding contributions through the "Tangneng Top Translator" award, selected from collaborators based on criteria including order volume, client feedback, and comprehensive evaluations by project managers (PMs). According to the latest rules, winners were chosen from part-time translators contracted between January 2023 and the present, with prizes awarded to those excelling in these areas.
After careful screening and deliberation, the company selected 10 winning translators for written translation and 5 for interpretation, proficient in languages such as English, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, and Russian. These translators not only have the highest collaboration volume with Tangneng but also demonstrated excellence in work attitude, responsiveness, teamwork, and translation quality across multi-dimensional evaluations by PMs. Their superb professional skills and outstanding execution have repeatedly earned high praise and trust from clients, fully proving their expertise in the field.
The celebrations of this year’s Tangneng Translation Festival came to a successful close. We extend our deepest gratitude to every client for their support and trust.
