This year marks the 9th consecutive year that Tangneng Translation has served as the official designated winning translation supplier for the Shanghai International Film Festival and TV Festival. With the conclusion of the 29th Shanghai TV Festival on June 28, Tangneng Translation successfully completed all translation tasks during the 2024 Shanghai International Film Festival and TV Festival.
On the evening of June 22, the 26th Shanghai International Film Festival held the Golden Goblet Awards ceremony at the Shanghai Grand Theatre. The Golden Goblet Award for Best Feature Film was awarded to the Kazakhstani film Divorce, which also won the Best Actress Award. The Georgian-Russian co-production Snow in the Yard received the Best Director Award. The Chinese film Hedgehog won the Best Screenplay Award, and the Chinese film Sunshine Club won the Best Actor Award.
On the evening of June 28, the "Magnolia Blossom" Awards ceremony of the 29th Shanghai TV Festival was held, unveiling the "Magnolia Awards" one by one. Hu Ge won Best Actor for Blossoms, Zhou Xun won Best Actress for Imperfect Victim, and Xin Shuang won Best Director for The Long Season. The series Blossoms directed by Wong Kar-wai, which received nine nominations earlier, won five awards: Best Chinese TV Drama, Best Actor, Best Screenplay (Adaptation), Best Art Direction, and Best Cinematography.
