Tangneng Translation began its collaboration with WildAid in October this year, primarily providing translation services for climate advocacy materials in the Chinese-to-English language pair.
Founded in 2000, WildAid is an international non-governmental environmental protection organization dedicated to reducing illegal trade in endangered wildlife and their products worldwide, strengthening law enforcement and capacity-building in marine protected areas, minimizing marine plastic pollution, inspiring climate action, and promoting emissions reduction at the consumer level. These efforts aim to achieve long-term goals of protecting biodiversity and addressing climate change.
WildAid's "Conservation Through Communication" model leverages the inspirational power of celebrity public welfare ambassadors to create high-quality public service content at low costs. Through various media channels, this content triggers emotional resonance among the public, fostering rational thinking and active participation to ultimately transform unsustainable consumption and lifestyle patterns. WildAid boasts hundreds of public welfare ambassadors from diverse global fields, including Yao Ming, Jackie Chan, Angelababy, Yang Zi, Jay Chou, Eddie Peng, Wang Yibo, Prince William, David Beckham, and others.
WildAid began its operations in China in 2005 and established a Beijing representative office in 2017. Its key projects in China include: reducing illegal trade in endangered wildlife and their products; enhancing law enforcement and capacity-building in marine protected areas while minimizing marine plastic pollution; and addressing climate change by inspiring climate action and promoting consumer-side emissions reduction.
For years, Tangneng has helped enterprises overcome language barriers in their internationalization efforts through language services. While providing high-quality localization services to overseas companies expanding into China, it has also fully supported Chinese enterprises in securing their place on the global stage. In addition to WildAid, Tangneng Translation has provided translation services to various government agencies and organizations, including historical clients such as UNHCR, China International Culture Exchange Center, Shanghai Advanced Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Foreign Affairs Office of Xuhui District People’s Government, Israeli Consulate, German Consulate, and Commercial Office of the Czech Consulate.
