From October 19 to 21, 2020, the 2020 World VR Industry Conference & Cloud Summit with the theme "VR Makes the World More Wonderful — Cultivating New Opportunities, Opening New Frontiers" was held in Nanchang, Jiangxi. The conference adopted a hybrid online-offline format, with a first-time branch venue set up in Austria. Tangneng Translation provided stenography services for this event.

The online venue gathered representatives from over 20 countries and regions such as China, the U.S., Canada, Germany, France, Switzerland, Sweden, Finland, the Netherlands, Italy, Austria, Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, South Korea, and Japan, including leading VR/AR enterprises, unicorn companies, authoritative organizations, and renowned academic institutions.
The cloud summit employed four major technologies: artificial intelligence, XR imaging, VR live broadcasting, and holographic imaging, showcasing six key highlights: an AI virtual host, AR optimization, a cloud conference venue, first-time use of holographic projection, full-process intelligent simultaneous interpretation, and intelligent cloud customer service.
It is reported that the conference released the "China VR Top 50," held eight sub-forums including the XR International Forum and Industrial Ecology Forum, organized a series of investment and promotion activities such as the VR Industry Investment and Cooperation Matchmaking Meeting and the Global Investment Promotion Conference for Nanchang VR Science and Innovation City, and hosted experience activities like the VR E-Sports Competition and Virtual Reality Industry Innovation Competition.
Since the World VR Industry Conference settled in Nanchang in 2018, leading enterprises such as Huawei, Alibaba, HTC, Qualcomm, and iFLYTEK have successively settled in the city. Up to now, Jiangxi Province has gathered more than 350 VR-related enterprises, with related output value growing from 4.2 billion yuan in 2018 to 12 billion yuan in 2019, and is expected to exceed 20 billion yuan this year.
