From November 5 to 10, the second China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. Government, business and academic representatives from more than 170 countries and regions, as well as over 3,000 enterprises from more than 150 countries and regions gathered together. Tangneng Translation Company provided Chinese-English simultaneous interpretation and transcription services for some forums during this CIIE.
The China International Import Expo (CIIE) attracted participation from over 1,000 enterprises from 58 countries along the "Belt and Road", and will become another important support for jointly building the "Belt and Road".
At this CIIE, the intended transaction volume calculated on an annual basis reached US$71.13 billion, an increase of 23% compared with the first session. The total attendance over the six days exceeded 910,000 visits. In addition, many enterprises brought brand new exclusive products to participate, with several companies showcasing globally leading technologies, and more "world exclusives" and "China premieres" appearing at the expo.
