Recently, the results of the 2024 China "Most Beautiful Books" selection were announced, with 25 books from 21 publishing houses in 8 provinces and cities nationwide awarded this year’s title. Tangneng Translation provided escort interpretation and whisper simultaneous interpretation services for the judges during the project.

As the highest honor in Chinese book design, this year’s "25 Beauties" saw strong performance from designers in Beijing, Shanghai, and Jiangsu, while talents from Jiangxi, Shaanxi, Guangxi, Yunnan, and Sichuan also made the list. Notably, the selection highlighted emerging designers, with 15 winning books created by new talents, demonstrating the 后劲 (development momentum) of China’s book design industry.
The "Most Beautiful Books" is a major national book design competition hosted by the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Press and Publication and undertaken by the Shanghai Yangtze River Publishing Exchange Foundation. Since its establishment in 2003, it has successfully held 22 editions, with 496 works selected, including 24 that won the international "World’s Most Beautiful Books" award—the highest honor in global book design. As usual, the 25 winning works will compete in the 2025 Leipzig Book Fair’s "World’s Most Beautiful Books" selection, continuing to tell the story of Chinese book art and showcase the charm of Chinese design.
