The translation business involves the English language, primarily addressing regular needs for product specifications and technical documents.
SAIC Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. is a Sino-German joint venture jointly operated by SAIC Group and Volkswagen Group. Signed and laid the foundation in October 1984, it is one of the oldest automotive joint ventures in China.
SAIC Volkswagen currently produces and sells products under two brands, Volkswagen and Skoda, covering market segments such as A0-class, A-class, B-class, C-class, SUV, and MPV. As of the end of June, its Volkswagen brand achieved a cumulative sales milestone of 22 million vehicles, becoming the first single brand in China to exceed 22 million sales.
Meanwhile, the company has actively entered the new energy vehicle market, launching models such as the Tiguan L Plug-in Hybrid, Passat Plug-in Hybrid, and Lavida Pure Electric.
As an established translation company in the automotive field, Tangneng Translation has extensive industry experience, having collaborated with renowned brands including BMW, Ford, Volkswagen, Porsche, Lamborghini, etc. Notably, Tangneng's partnership with Volkswagen began in 2009, primarily providing written and oral translation services for Volkswagen (China) Investment Co., Ltd. It became one of Volkswagen's designated translation suppliers in 2014, and the collaboration has shown a growing trend annually since 2015. The translated documents cover professional materials such as policies and regulations, news reports, legal contracts, vehicle models, internal structures, and maintenance manuals.
